Gregory A. Miller is Professor of Psychology and Adjunct Professor of Psychiatry of the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champain, USA. He is an outstanding research scientist in his own right. He has published extensively on the psychophysiology of emotional processing, using ERP and neuroimaging methodologies, but has also contributed important papers on statistical and methodological topics. One particularly notable aspect of his work is a careful approach to mindbody and reductionistic issues in affective neuroscience. He is Past President of the Society for Psychophysiological Research.

Professor Miller has demonstrated outstanding mentorship qualities throughout his career. The list of students that he has mentored who are now first-rate scientists in their own right is extremely impressive. He embodies in his own work the spirit of collaboration that he transmits to junior scientists at all levels of training.

Gregory A. Miller holds a long-lasting cooperation with the Department of Psychology at the University of Konstanz. Due to this successful relationship he was awarded with the honorary doctorate of the University of Konstanz which was bestowed on him on the occasion of the Dies Academicus on October 16, 2009.

Professor Miller was nominated for the Zukunftskolleg Award jointly by the Zukunftskolleg Fellows Johanna Kißler, Iris-Tatjana Kolassa and Nathan Weisz. The Zukunftskolleg warmly welcomes Gregory A. Miller as a new Senior Fellow.
