Nicholas Kurti Prize 2022 for Research Fellow Angelo di Bernardo
We congratulate Angelo di Bernardo (Research Fellow / Physics) who has received this year’s Nicholas Kurti Prize, together with Alexander Grimm from the Paul Scherrer Institute.
The Award recognises Angelo’s achievements in the spectroscopy of spin-polarised (spin-triplet) states in superconductor/ferromagnet hybrids and for the discovery of new coupling effects and quantum phases existing at the surfaces and interfaces of strongly-correlated electron materials and materials with low dimensionality.
The objective of the Nicholas Kurti Science Prize is to promote and recognise the novel work of young scientists working in the fields of low temperatures and/or high magnetic fields in Europe (read the full release here).
Angelo has been a Research Fellow at the Zukunftskolleg since 05/2021 working on the project „Superconducting spintronics“.
We congratulate Angelo and wish him all the best!
