Mentorship and Independent Research Grant winners
In its meeting on 2 May, the Executive Committee decided on the applications within two calls for support measures: the Mentorship Programme and the Independent Research Grant. Further the EC welcomed a new member: Carolin Antos-Kuby (Research Fellow/Dept. of Philosophy).
The Mentorship Programme enables postdoctoral researchers at the University of Konstanz to invite renowned scholars in their field to Konstanz for a few days as mentors, and to consolidate the cooperation by in turn visiting their mentor.
The Mentorship winners are: Michael L. Smith (Dept. of Biology) who invites Tim Landgraf (“Collective Intelligence and Biorobotics”-Lab, FU Berlin, Germany); Morgane Nouvian (Dept. of Biology) who invites Prof. Alison R. Mercer (University of Otago, New Zealand); and Giulia Fabrini (Dept. of Mathematics and Statistics) who invites Tommaso Lorenzo (University of St. Andrews, Scotland, UK).
We congratulate the Mentorship winners and welcome them as new Associated Fellows of the Zukunftskolleg.
The Independent Research Grant aims to promote independent research by researchers at the University of Konstanz who are in the early stages of their postdoctoral work. In particular, applications are encouraged for support in establishing promising contacts to researchers from other universities and in carrying out preliminary projects intended to lead to an independent application for third-party funding.
The winners are: Samuel Carleial (Dept. of Psychology), M. Eugenia Delgado (Dept. of Biology), and Yanjie Liu (Dept. of Biology).
The calls for both support measures are still open until 23 May. For more information see: https://www.uni-konstanz.de/zukunftskolleg/support-measures/mentorship/
