Iris-Tatjana Kolassa receives the Award from the Association for Psychological Science
Prof. Iris-Tatjana Kolassa, Alumna of the Zukunftskolleg, received Janet Taylor Spence Award For Transformative Early Career Contributions To Psychological Science from the Association for Psychological Science. This prize distinguishes special creative approach to the research, which motivates re-thinking in the area of Psychology. Iris-Tatjana Kolassa is head of the Department of Clinical and Biological Psychology at the University of Ulm since 2010. In 2006 she became a member of the Heidelberger Akademie der Wissenschaften and also a Fellow of the Zukunftskolleg at the University of Konstanz. In 2008 Iris-Tatjana Kolassa received the Emmy Noether DFG grant allowing her to build a research group “Stress und trauma-assoziierte immunologische Veränderungen und ihre Auswirkungen auf die Gesundheit“. The Janet Taylor Spence Award distinguishes Kolassa’s interdisciplinary work in areas of Psychology and of Molecular Biology which opens new opportunities for the development of the new subarea of Molecular Psychology. “I think that this award is also an award to the Zukunftskolleg, because a lot of little steps towards this award would not be possible without Zukunftskolleg’s interdisciplinary spirit it possesses, the opportunities it offers and, the concrete support I got from it”, says the winner of the prize.
