Proteins: Surfing on Waves
Jour Fixe talk by Michael Kovermann on November 9, 2016
In his Jour Fixe talk Michael Kovermann, Associated Fellow at the Zukunftskolleg and Junior Professor at the Department of Chemistry, promoted the beauty of current research in the field of structural biology and biophysics.
Accordingly, his presentation was devided into two parts. The first section was dedicated to basic principles of biomolecular experiments applied on biomolecules. This facilitated the audience to dive directly into the second part of his presentation - the field of Michael Kovermann' research: high-resolution nuclear magnetic resonance spectroscopy. He showed how this powerful experimental method aims to unravel the secrets of proteins at atomar resolution.
