Nano- and Microscale Vibrational Systems - from Cars to Quantum Computers
Jour fixe talk by Mark Dykman on June 13, 2018
Mark Dykman is a Senior Fellow of the Zukunftskolleg affiliated with the Department of Physics. He has been invited by Gianluca Rastelli.
Small vibrational systems have remarkable properties, which enable a broad range of applications and pose challenging physical, mathematical, and engineering problems. Some of these problems and the ways to approach them were outlined during Mark's talk. He also discussed with the audience time permitting and the relation to other disciplines, such as population dynamics.
