Many institutions are taking a position against racism and discrimination. Universities, too, are such places of diversity and the free expression of ideas, and this is especially true for the University of Konstanz.
Our focus is on promoting an active and fair community, because precisely this is the foundation for our success as an institution in the areas of research and teaching. The University of Konstanz condemns all forms of racism – especially racially motivated violence. We oppose racism, promote diversity and advocate for the rights of all persons. Our Code of Practice on Diversity and Guidelines to Combat Discrimination clearly confirm this position.
At the same time, the University of Konstanz understands that structural racism exists in our society. We acknowledge that intensive debate on the resulting forms of discrimination must continue.
As an open and international university located in the center of Europe, the University of Konstanz will use this web portal to take a stand against discrimination as well as racism and to promote diversity.
