Library/Communication, Information, Media Centre (KIM)
The Communication, Information, Media Centre (KIM) is the university's central service provider for IT and library services. For all questions concerning library use, literature search or IT services, such as your university email account, KIM is here for you. You can use the Library for free, and, what's more, take part in free courses from various subject areas such as literature research, IT skills or information literacy. First-semester students can find all important information and services on the KIM website "New student?".
ZEuS Portal
ZEuS introduction for first-semester students
ZEuS is the university's central enrolment and student portal. During this event, you will learn how to use ZEuS – a system you will need the entire time you study. You use it, for example, to register for exams or download your certificate of enrolment, so you definitely need access to ZEuS!
You can attend the events online. For more information, check the course catalogue (course number KIM-10080) or send an email to: zeus-support@uni-konstanz.de.
Language Institute (SLI)
The Language Institute (SLI) of the University of Konstanz offers a wide range of language courses – not only for the more frequently taught foreign languages English, French and Spanish, but also for up to fifteen other languages. In the PDF on the SLI website you can find an overview of all SLI information events during the orientation weeks for new students:

Here you can meet with fellow students at fixed writing times or get personal advice from trainers in the Writing Tutoring Service. You will also find helpful material as well as self-study courses in ILIAS related to the topic of academic writing skills. Watch this video to check out the Writing Centre and its services.
Centre for Transferable Skills
The Centre for Transferable Skills offers courses for students from any study programme. Our seminars focus on teaching cross-disciplinary skills for study and work contexts that require a dynamic set of digital and non-digital key competencies.
University sports
After a long day at the university, you can wind down and clear your head while doing sports with others. Our university sports programme offers you a great range of courses and is one of the most popular programmes at the University of Konstanz.
