Sounds good? Then find out below how you can participate and contact us right away!
Step 1: Preparatory meeting with the Career Service
Send an email to cs.beratung@uni-konstanz.de and make an appointment with the Career Service. In this appointment we will work out the questions you want to address by participating in UCarLi and clarify further support needs. We will go through the list of alumni together and discuss who you would like to get in touch with.
Step 2: Get in touch with your contact person
You send your CV to Career Service so that we can forward it to the selected alumni. This way they can get an idea of who you are. As soon as we have received the alumni's okay to pass on their contact details, we will send them to you by e-mail. Now it's your turn: Write to the contact person and arrange a meeting.
Step 3: Conversation with your contact person
Before the meeting, it's best to write down all the questions you want to ask. We have put together a few suggestions for good questions and other tips for the conversation to help you prepare (see Guide in the blue box on the right side bar). And you will also benefit from writing down important insights and information during the interview.
Step 4 (optional): Discuss your findings with the Career Service
If you wish, you can discuss your findings with the Career Service after the meeting with your contact person, for example to further develop your application strategy. This step is voluntary.
Step 5: Evaluation
After the interview, you will receive a link to a short online survey. We use the anonymized results to further develop UCarLi and adapt it to the needs of students.
