Kilometer1 - Entrepreneurs in Science
Faculty I wants to introduce you to exciting workshops and events held by the Start-Up initiative Kilometer1 that are especially interesting for doctoral researches of the Faculty of Sciences!
Dear docoral researchers, postdocs, and alumni,
do you want to make use of the innovative potential of your research? If so, we want to recommend two upcoming workshops, organized by Kilometer1 (the startup-initative of Konstanz' universities) , Young Entrepreneurs in Science and Academic Staff Development of the University of Konstanz. Both workshops can be credited towards the ASD certificate Leadership, Management, Science Communication and Knowledge Transfer.
From PhD to Innovator - 18. and 19. May, 9:00 am - 5:00 pm (online)
In two days, you will get to know the basics and career options of entrepreneurship. Learn methods from the fields of design thinking, storytelling, and innovation management and apply them to startup ideas from your PhD project or from other areas of interest. Importantly, the workshop is an invitation to experiment and does not require that you already have startup skills or ideas.
Innovation Toolkit - 23. June, 9:00 am - 5:00 pm (online)
In this workshop, you will learn taking the perspectives of potential customers by doing user research and how to develop a product or service with a precise fit for a specific target group. In interactive sessions you will apply the Value Proposition Canvas and get to know analysis tools such as the Problem-Solution-Fit and transfer what you have learned to your own project. This workshop is addressed to researchers, who already have an idea but are relatively new to the startup process as well as those who want to deepen their entrepreneurial skills.
Further, save the date: The next Ideas & Cheers #startupsupport, the event for startup stories and networking, will take place on the 26th of May at 5:00 pm
