Even if an alarm turns out to be a false alarm afterwards, take all alarms seriously and leave the building with everyone else.
A specific collection point is assigned to each part of the building. You can find out who this is and where by taking a look at the numerous signposts or the links below. If in doubt, follow the others.
In the event of an alarm or evacuation, a loudspeaker announcement will ask you to leave the building as soon as possible. However, stay relaxed and do not run to prevent mass panic.
The main thing is to get out...
That's true, but...
Why is it important and sensible to visit a meeting place?
- The determination of completeness. It is particularly important. Could all colleagues who were previously employed in the building or who were there, leave the building or do rescue services have to search for them (possibly at risk of death)?
- Emergency personnel can query further important information (injuries left behind, accident location, hazardous substances, etc.) on the possible cause. This determines the deployment tactics and considerably facilitates the deployment of the rescue forces.
- The building users* gather at a known and safe place.
- Persons who were able to leave the building with minor injuries, etc. receive initial care here, as individual first-aiders arrive at the respective collection point.
Please understand that it is important to arrive at the meeting point specified for your building until the situation has been clarified. You will be informed of the time at which the assembly point can be left by the emergency services.
